**For insurance purposes, all Geronimo players must use equipment that was manufactured and approved for lacrosse play. Substitutions, such as Hockey helmets, are not permitted.**

Girls Equipment Requirements:
Girls lacrosse has different rules for contact and therefore has different stick and equipment requirements.

  • Girls Lacrosse Stick
  • Protective Eyewear (more info below)
  • Molded mouthguard
  • Goalie equipment is provided by Geronimo
  • Cleats are highly recommended 


Boys Equipment Requirements:
Boys lacrosse is a full-contact sport and Geronimo requires full lacrosse gear at the Warrior and Pathfinder programs:

  • Boys Lacrosse Stick
  • Lacrosse Helmet
  • Gloves
  • Arm Pads
  • Shoulder Pads (more info below)
  • Molded mouthguard
  • A protective cup is recommended for boys in the Warrior division
  • Goalie equipment is provided by Geronimo
  • Cleats are highly recommended 

STX, Brine, Warrior, Shamrock, Riddell, Maverik, Onyx and deBeers are all high-quality lacrosse brands and are adequate for youth lacrosse. Lacrosse equipment is available from many sources both locally and online. In Richmond, Dick's Sporting Goods, River City Lacrosse Company, The Hypnotic Stick, Disco Sports, and Play It Again Sports all carry lacrosse gear and have a good selection of equipment along with an educated staff to help with fitting.

***New Rules for 2022. Effective January 1, 2022, shoulder pads for boys’ field players must be designed for lacrosse and meet NOCSAE standard ND200. Products are now available.

These shoulder pad rules (and last year's goalie chest protector rules) are to combat the risk of serious injuries like commotion cordis.  For more info, please clinic here
